Draft for review. This is a working draft prepared for launch readiness. It is not final legal advice and should be reviewed and finalized by counsel before it is relied upon.

1. Who we are

ValueAtlas is a software product provided by Auricita LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Georgia, United States. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. What we collect

  • Account information: your name, work email, organization, and login details.
  • Content you provide: the documents and data you upload for analysis, and the analyses produced from them.
  • Usage information: the technical data needed to operate and secure the service, and how the site and the product are used: the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, and a recording of your browsing session. Section 5 explains this and the choices you have.
  • Analytics cookies: one cookie holds an identifier that recognizes you when you come back, and one cookie named va_analytics_consent holds your answer to the cookie banner. The identifier is written only if you accept. The answer is kept either way, so that we do not ask you again.
  • Payment information: handled by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card details.

3. How we use it

We use your information to provide and improve the service for you: to run analyses on the content you submit, to operate your account and subscription, to communicate with you about the service, and to secure and support the product. We do not sell your content or personal information, and we do not use your content to train models for other customers.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us operate the product (for example hosting, payment processing, and email delivery), under agreements that limit their use to providing those services, or where required by law.

5. Cookies and analytics

We measure how the site at auricita.com and the ValueAtlas app are used, so we can see which pages people read, where they stop, and what to fix. We collect three things: the pages you view, the links and buttons you click, and a recording of your browsing session that we can watch back.

One service does this work: PostHog, a separate company that receives the information and stores it on servers in the United States. We do not use any service that tries to name the company or the person behind an anonymous visit.

Two cookies are involved. Both are set on auricita.com and its subdomains, so answering the banner once covers the site and the app:

  • An identifier cookie: set by PostHog. It holds a random identifier and nothing that names you. It recognizes you when you come back, and it lets a visit to auricita.com and a later signed-in session at valueatlas.auricita.com count as one person rather than two. PostHog keeps a copy of the same identifier in your browser's storage.
  • va_analytics_consent: set by us. It holds one word, "granted" or "denied", which is your answer to the banner and all this cookie holds. Your answer stands for a year, then the banner asks again.

No identifier is written to your device until you accept. Before you answer, the pages you view still reach PostHog, but nothing is kept, so that visit is not joined to your next one. If you decline, the only thing we keep is the answer itself, in the va_analytics_consent cookie, so that we do not ask you again.

You can change your answer at any time. Cookie choices, on every page of this site and every screen of the app, reopens the banner and shows the answer in force on that device. Declining does two things: it stops the collection, and it deletes the identifier that was stored.

Inside the app, every word on screen is hidden from the session recording before it leaves your browser. The documents you upload and the analyses produced from them are never sent to PostHog.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls that isolate each organization's data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data in proportion to its sensitivity.

7. Retention, export, and deletion

We retain your content for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request an export of your organization's data, and you can request deletion, which removes your analyses and associated content. Some records may be retained where required by law.

8. Your choices

You may access, correct, export, or delete your information, and you may unsubscribe from non-essential communications. Depending on where you are located, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

9. Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent to info@auricita.com.
